After a lot of looking for a Tudor Snowflake, I finally found one I like, but I would like to change the crystal for one without the cyclops. Your grandpa’s Sub (I'm guessing that’s his 5512 you posted) was made from 1959 to 1978. In that time Rolex didn’t use sapphire crystals for their Subs. They used domed plexiglass. These clever and well conceived details reveals the attention Tudor devotes to refining its watches.

I need to fit into a space that is 31.1mm.of the technical watches that TUDOR has produced for professionals throughout its history. Those movements are big, if they could make it thinner they would. As far as the case shape that is the design. If the design was different it wouldn't be what it is. It is more about people just not liking the Tudor than anything else, which is fine.
